Crews Quickly Extinguish Apartment Fire Near Buford

Gwinnett firefighters put out a small fire at a Buford-area apartment building Monday night.

Crews arrived at the Hartford Run Apartments at 7:40 p.m. and found smoke coming through the eaves of the one-story multi-unit building.

A small fire was located in a bathroom wall and ceiling in one of the units. Firefighters opened the wall and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire was under control at 7:53 p.m.

No one was injured.

Authorities said the fire may have started at the bathroom exhaust fan.
