Education Foundation to Grant $56K to Lanier Cluster Teachers
Teachers submitted grant applications to the Lanier Education Foundation in May.

The Lanier Education Foundation will award $56,000 in teacher-requested grants at the Lanier Cluster Breakfast that will take place at Lanier High on Friday, August 7, 2015.
Approximately 460 teachers and administrators from Lanier High, Lanier Middle, Sugar Hill Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, and White Oak Elementary will attend the annual event. The Foundation’s newly appointed president, Amy Ballar, is scheduled to speak during the breakfast and she will be presenting the grants on behalf of the Foundation.

Teachers submitted grant applications to the Foundation’s Grant Committee in May. The majority of the grants focus on endeavors related to project-based learning as well as the Cluster’s highly regarded STEM program. Grants are funded by profits from the Foundation’s primary fundraiser during the 2014-15 school year, the Blue Jean Ball, which was held on February 28, 2015, at Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

three scholarships.
The Lanier Education Foundation was established in 2011, and it is the primary community organization contributing financial support to Sugar Hill Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, White Oak Elementary, Lanier Middle, and Lanier High, the five schools in the Lanier Cluster.
