Gun Thieves Smash Into Buford Store With Pickup Truck

Gwinnett County Police arrived to find a huge hole in the wall of the building.

BUFORD, GA — Thieves used a Dodge pickup truck to ram a hole through the wall of a gun store in Buford before stealing several weapons and fleeing, police say.

Gwinnett County Police responded to an alarm at 5:15 a.m. Sunday at Dead Center Gun Indoor Range in Buford.

When they arrived, they found a heavily damaged front wall with a large hole leading into the business, where they found several rifles and pistols were missing.

Officers reviewed security video, which showed a full-sized, grey Dodge pickup truck with a hard-shell camper top used to smash through the wall.

The thieves then entered the retail area and took the weapons, police say, before the pickup is seen leaving the parking lot and driving north.
