Gwinnett Duo Arrested On Heroin, Meth Charges

BUFORD, GA — Two people from Gwinnett County were arrested on drug charges on Sunday, according to reports. Amira Zohbe, 29, and Tony Griffith, 30, were taken in by Hall County sheriff's deputies in the 5000 block of Bennett Road in Buford.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the sheriff's office didn't specify how the duo came to the attention of the deputies, but Zohbe, of Lawrenceville, had an active warrant for her arrest in another county.

Zohbe is being charged with forgery, possession of drug-related objects, possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine, according to Hall County records. She's being held without bond.

Griffith, of Buford, was released on his own recognizance. He was charged with possession of drug-related objects, according to the Journal-Constitution.
