A Gwinnett County Public Schools spokeswoman told the AJC that the teacher has been pulled from the classroom. She will remain employed by the school system, but in another position.
"Respect is one of our key mottos here at Lanier Middle," Principal Todd Hamilton wrote in a letter to parents last week. "And, just as we expect students to respect teachers, we expect our staff members to respect students."
