Inside Police Reports: Woman with 2 Jobs Held Up on Way to Work

A Buford woman working two jobs was held up as she stopped to make a bank deposit while on the way to work.

The woman works at the Burger King and Regal Cinemas in the Mall of Georgia area.

According to the Gwinnett Police incident report, the woman said she stopped at a Wells Fargo location to deposit a check from Burger King around 5:30 a.m. on March 6. She told police she was making the deposit as she was headed to her job cleaning at the Regal Cinemas inside the mall.

When she was at the ATM, a man in a red car pulled up, approached her and held his hand under his jacket as if he had a weapon. “Give me the money,” he said, according to the incident report. She gave him the check and he left.

The woman did not see a weapon, and the suspect never said he had one, police said.

She said she would recognize the man if she ever saw him again.
