Mall of Georgia To Extend Hours For Tax-Free Weekend

Georgia's sales-tax holiday is Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31.

BUFORD, GA -- Mall of Georgia, the South's largest mall, will have special extended hours for Georgia's sales-tax holiday weekend later this month.

Georgia's 2016 Tax Free Holiday is Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31.

On that weekend, state lawmakers have waived Georgia sales tax on clothing, electronics, school supplies and other back-to-school items.

Mall of Georgia will be open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, and noon-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 31.

The mall also will be hosting a special back-to-school fashion event on that Saturday.

The event will be from 1-3 p.m. in the Von Maur Court near Sephora. There will be a fashion show, DJ, photo booth, giveaways and more at the event, which will showcase back-to-school fashions.
