Mighty Buford Rolls into 2nd Round of GHSA Football Playoffs
Season of superlatives continues for the undefeated Wolves.

Buford High School has had dozens of great football seasons over the years and 2013 may go down as one of the best ever.
The No. 1-ranked Wolves (11-1) blasted Sonoraville 58-0 Friday, Nov. 15, in the first round of the Georgia High School Association Class 3A playoffs. It was the 14th-straight first-round win for the Wolves, winners of nine state championships, including last year’s 3A title.
Buford will host Woodward Academy Friday in the second round of the playoffs. Woodward beat North Oconee 53-21 in the first round.

Friday’s win extended a season of superlatives for Buford.

The defense scored its fourth shutout Friday. The Wolves allow 6 points per game.
Buford dominated Region 7 to win its 24th region title in school history. How dominant? Second-place White County, which went 8-2 in the regular, lost 42-6 to the Wolves during the regular season.
