Police: Serial Sexual Predator Arrested in Buford
Equeill Williams, 22, is the suspect in four aggressive attacks.

BUFORD, GA -- A Buford man is charged with rape, armed robbery and kidnapping after being arrested for a series of sexual assaults in the area.
Gwinnett County Police have charged Equeill Williams, 22, of Buford, with rape for an attack Wednesday outside a restaurant on Buford Drive, and say he is believed to be the suspect in three other attacks.
Shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the Golden Buddha restaurant at 4300 Buford Dr.

There, a 28-year-old woman told officers she had just ordered take-out from the restaurant and was loading food into her car when she was approached from behind by a man.
The man told her to get into her vehicle or she would be shot, then choked her and demanded money.

During the assault, the victim said, the suspect was wearing a wig that she was able to pull off.
After taking the victim's credit card, the suspect raped her in the backseat of her vehicle, then ran away.
In addition, police say Williams matches the description of the suspect in three other attacks.
- On August 17, 2015, at about 10 p.m. a suspect walked up behind a victim at a local apartment complex. As she unlocked her door, the suspect groped her, then ran away laughing.
- On March 3, a victim walked out of the Rite Aid at 4470 Nelson Brogdon Rd. in Buford at about 6:30 p.m. after shopping. When she got into her vehicle, a suspect walked up and asked her for a sexual favor. When she refused, he pointed a handgun at her and told her to get in the back seat. The suspect got into the back seat with her and masturbated, then fled the scene in a silver vehicle.
- On April 4, a victim was leaving the Walgreens at 4397 Sudderth Rd. in Buford at about 10:15 p.m. When she got into her vehicle, she was approached by a suspect who put his hand over her mouth and neck and told her to shut up. The victim began fighting, screaming and honking the horn of her vehicle and the suspect ran away.
"Based on the evidence that has been developed thus far, Equeill Williams is suspected in all of these cases," Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said in a news release.
"We are disgusted by the acts of the suspect involved in these cases," Washington continued. "Our hearts go out to the victims involved in these cases and we stand side by side with them in seeing to it that justice is served in a court of law."
