Press Release: Lake Lanier Islands Resort® Welcomes Bradley Anderholm as New Chief Operating Officer

Seasoned Hospitality Administration Veteran Brings Fresh Perspective to Georgia Lakeside Resort that is Committed to Growing its Influence as a Premier Destination for Business and Leisure Travelers

BUFORD, Ga. – March 14, 2014 – Lake Lanier Islands Resort® is proud to welcome its new Chief Operating Officer, Bradley Anderholm. Anderholm brings an extensive background that includes more than 30 years in hospitality administration, food & beverage management, and finance to the Southern lakeside resort. Dedicated to securing the resort’s foothold as a leading destination in the South since their assumption of operations in 2005 through Islands Management Company, Chairman of the Board Virgil Williams and Chief Executive Officer Mike Williams believe the addition of Anderholm will serve as a catalyst to continued enrichment of Lake Lanier Islands’ offerings.

“As a company, we have always been devoted to not only growing our influence as a major travel and leisure destination in the Southeast, but also to growing our unique offerings onsite year-after-year,” explained Virgil Williams. “Bradley’s depth and breadth of experience in this industry will undoubtedly serve as an asset to the Islands. We are excited to have such a creative individual bring a new dynamic to our already outstanding executive team. With Bradley’s vision and expertise, we are gearing up for a remarkable season ahead.”

In his role as Chief Operating Officer for Lake Lanier Islands Resort, Anderholm will oversee operations on all four islands that comprise the lakeside resort – including accommodations, dining establishments, recreational activities, event venues and more – in order to streamline processes and ensure a quality guest experience to all visitors.

Prior to joining the executive team at the popular lakeside destination, Anderholm had served as Food and Beverage Director at Callaway Gardens Resort, as well as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations at the highly revered Buckhead Life Restaurant Group. His impressive resume also includes such well-known hospitality management companies as Delaware North Companies, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, and DNC Parks & Resorts Services for California’s renowned Yosemite National Park. He holds a BA in Business Administration from Gustavus-Adolphus College and an Associate of Occupational Studies in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. Over the course of his career, Anderholm has served on the Board of Trustees for the University of California, and as a Board Member for the Yosemite Association, Yosemite Fund, Marriott International’s Food and Beverage Advisory Board, Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association, Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. He has also fulfilled the Finance Chair position of Share our Strength – Taste of the Nation and taught as an adjunct instructor at the Art Institute of Atlanta.

“I am honored to join the team at Lake Lanier Islands Resort – especially during a time of such promising transformation,” said Anderholm. “The Williams Family and the terrific management staff they’ve assembled have worked diligently to create a top-notch resort destination in the South. I know I was pleasantly surprised by all of the positive changes that have taken place here in the years since I last visited Lake Lanier Islands with my own family – back in the days when it was more of a state park, and less of a world-class vacation spot. As word continues to spread about the Islands and its many offerings, I will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest’s experience – whether traveling on business, vacationing with family, or celebrating a life event like a wedding or family reunion – is a positive one. The Williams family is devoted to the continued evolution of the Islands, which means my job will continue to evolve, as well. That’s an exciting prospect – and one that I welcome wholeheartedly.”
