The Mavericks, Blues Traveler, Kool & the Gang, The Purple Xperience, and Third Eye Blind play in The Bowl at Sugar Hill this summer!

The City of Sugar Hill is excited to host The Sweet Life Concert Series this summer at The Bowl, Sugar Hill’s state-of-the-art amphitheater.

From their earliest shows as a garage band playing the punk clubs on Miami Beach, The Mavericks have had a skill for getting people to groove. Drawing on a mix of classic country, cow-punk and standards, Malo and company left South Florida, bringing their rhythmic fervor and Latin machismo, along with Malo’s lush baritone, to the world.
In conjunction with the release of MONO, The Mavericks kick off their MONO MUNDO TOUR with dates in Boston, Philadelphia and New York City before heading to Europe and continuing the rest of this exciting year making music all over the globe.

On June 11th, Blues Traveler continues the Sweet Life Concert Series in The Bowl!
After selling millions of records and logging thousands of miles on the road, GRAMMY award-winning band Blues Traveler continue to chart new musical directions evident on their upcoming record Blow Up The Moon. A clever collaboration between various artists, Blow Up The Moon sees Blues Traveler keep an open-minded perspective on making music and enlists an eclectic mix of songwriters influenced by the band’s remarkable 25+ year career.
Kool & The Gang is set to take stage on July 16th!
Kool & The Gang have been around for more than 50 years! The group reached legendary status by selling 70 million albums worldwide and earning two Grammys, seven American Music Awards, and 25 Top 10 R&B hits. Their hits include “Celebration,” “Ladies Night,” “Jungle Boogie,” and many more.
August 13th brings Purple Xperience to The Bowl!
The Purple Xperience, a 5 piece tribute hailing from Minneapolis, has been zig zagging around the country since February of 2011 bringing the memories of Prince and the Revolution to audiences of all generations. Led by Keyboardist Matt Fink (aka Dr. Fink), a member of Prince and the revolution from 1978 to 1991, The Purple Xperience leaves no audience dissatisfied. Doctor Fink won two Grammy Awards in 1985 for the soundtrack album for the movie Purple Rain in which he appeared. He received another Grammy in 1986 for the album “Parade”. He also has two American music awards for Purple Rain which has sold over 25 million copies worldwide since its release. Marshall Charloff, front man for The Purple Xperience, mysteriously styles the magic of Prince’s talent in an uncannily unmatched fashion with his appearance, vocal imitation and multi-instrumental capacity on Guitar and Piano. Backed by the best session players in the Twin Cities, Matt Fink and Marshall Charloff have undoubtedly produced the most authentic re-creation of Prince and the Revolution in the world.
Third Eye Blind ends the Sweet Life Concert Series on September 3rd!
Third Eye Blind performs Saturday, September 3rd, 2016 at The Bowl at Sugar Hill. The American rock band experienced huge success in the 1990s. Third Eye Blind’s first album which was self-titled, produced 5 singles and was named Billboard Music’s Modern Rock Track of the Year in 1997. Their latest album, “Dopamine” was released in June of last year.
Concert goers will have an even more exciting experience at The Bowl @ Sugar Hill this year! The addition of sidewalks and turfed areas on the common area will allow for better set up of festivals and events in The Bowl. A large splash pad area on the lawn will be available for families to use in the park during hot summer days. Music fans can also now enjoy the show with their friends in the privacy of a party suite!
