Cincinnati-based restaurant chain Tom+Chee, made famous on the “Shark Tank” television show, is opening its third metro Atlanta location March 14 in Buford.

The restaurant, which specializes in variations of tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, will be located at 3350 Buford Drive, the company said in a news release.
The chain, which has 170 stores under contract in 20 states, began as a food tent next to an ice-skating rink in Cincinnati’s Fountain Square. Since the founders appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank” in May 2013, the company has seen explosive growth.

“Tom+Chee is comfort food for the kid at heart,” William Hopkins, general manager of the Buford store said in a news release. “We believe that people should eat what’s fun in a family-friendly environment that is catered to what makes them happy, and we have built a team of great people who are passionate about giving the Atlanta community a one of a kind experience.”
A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on March 14.
