1 Dead, 2 Injured In Canton Car Crash

CANTON, GA — An Ellijay man died in a Saturday afternoon car crash that injured two other people on Interstate 575 north, Canton Police said Monday.

The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on I-575 north, south of the Riverstone Parkway northbound off-ramp, police said.

A white Chevrolet Silverado truck and a blue Honda Accord suffered extensive damage after the Silverado crashed head-on with the Accord. Police said the truck was traveling southbound on the northbound off-ramp at the time of the crash.

Sebastian Alonzo Domingo was the occupant of the Accord and died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Accord was a Chattanooga, Tennessee, resident who suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, police said. The driver of the Silverado was a Marietta resident who suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, police said.
