Canton Teen Found Shot Inside Home Listed In Stable Condition
Canton police investigators are asking anyone to come forward with information they believe could help solve the case.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department continues to investigate the case of a teenager who was found shot inside a home overnight Wednesday.
Officers were dispatched just before 2:30 a.m. May 10 to a home in the 200 block of Alpine Street and arrived to find the victim, a 16-year-old male, on the living room sofa with a gunshot wound to his chest area, Canton police said.

Alpine Street is located off Juniper Street near Canton Paw Park.
Canton police note the teenager, who was initially transported to Northside Hospital Cherokee, was subsequently taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he's listed in stable condition.

The agency said investigators are "actively seeking persons of interest regarding the case," and anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 770-720-4883 with any information.
