8th Annual Gospel Fest Scheduled For Feb 3
This year's event, which commemorates Black History Month, will be dedicated to longtime supporter Lanier Shelnutt.

CANTON, GA — Organizers behind the eighth annual Gospel Fest are looking for new voices to join its ranks. The musical extravaganza will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Cherokee County Arts Center at 94 North Street in downtown Canton.
Gospel Fest VIII will showcase a diverse group of talents with a Mass Choir, Praise and Dance Teams, as well as Soloist performances. Anyone who has participated in the last seven Gospel Fests is encouraged to come and join the Mass Choir for Gospel Fest VIII.
They are also seeking new voices to join the Mass Choir, and rehearsal dates for the Gospel Fest VIII Mass Choir are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22; Thursday, Jan. 25; Monday, Jan. 29; and Thursday, Feb. 1

Admission to Gospel Fest VIII is free of charge and we encourage everyone to join us on this joyous occasion to celebrate Black History Month. This year’s celebration is again in partnership with the Cherokee County Arts Council and is sponsored by the Shelnutt Family and Kipling L. McVay-Stubbs. Sponsors are always welcomed and appreciated. Gospel Fest VIII is being dedicated to the loving memory of our friend and supporter, Lanier Shelnutt.
