Barn On Hunt Road Destroyed By Fire In Acworth
A fire last night destroyed a barn off Hunt Road just east of Acworth. There were no injuries reported, according to Cherokee Fire.
ACWORTH, Ga. — Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a structure fire Tuesday night at 6:40 p.m. at 3273 Hunt Road, near Highway 92, just east of Acworth.
Cherokee County firefighters arrived on scene to find the 30 by 50 foot barn fully engulfed in flames. The barn was about 100 feet from a residence. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire just shortly after 7 p.m.
No one was inside the barn when the fire occurred and no other structures were damaged due the fire. No injuries were reported.

Hunt Road was closed until the fire operation was complete and was reopened at 11 p.m.
Cherokee County fire investigators are investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
