Canton Intersection To Close For Pipe Replacement Project

The work to replace a storm pipe will begin Sept. 14, and will affect the area of Ivy Drive and Birch Street for about two weeks.

The city of Canton is warning motorists that a storm pipe replacement project will close an intersection and a section of a street for up to two weeks.

As part of the project, Georgia Development Partners, the contractor for the city, will be closing the intersection of Ivy Drive and Birch Street as well as a section of Birch Street for about two weeks to complete the work.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, Sept. 14.

The road will be plated and re-opened at the end of every day until the work in the area is completed. The contractor will provide all necessary detour signage.
