Canton LongHorn Steakhouse Manager Wins Award

Duncan Fisher, managing partner of LongHorn Steakhouse on Riverstone Parkway in Canton, has been presented with the company’s top leadership honor.

Fisher is just one of four partners to win the company’s Best of the West Award. He and the three other recipients were selected from the more than 480 LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants nationwide.

“Duncan embodies our core values of treating everyone with dignity and respect,” said John Alexander, senior vice president for LongHorn Steakhouse. “He goes above and beyond for his team, as well as his guests, and puts a tremendous amount of effort towards ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience. Duncan symbolizes what LongHorn stands for and is extremely deserving of the Best of the West award.”

Presented annually, this award recognizes managing partners “who have consistently demonstrated leadership by achieving top financial results, developing managers and team members, and ensuring guests consistently enjoy LongHorn Steakhouse’s delicious food and warm, friendly service,” the company said.

Fisher’s recognition is the result of his focus on the development and growth of his team members. He works closely with his employees to help them further their career with LongHorn. Additionally, he is highly engaged in the Canton community through partnerships with local schools and through fundraising events to help organizations like the Malon D. Mimms Boys & Girls Club, Cherokee County Sports Hall of Fame Committee and Cherokee Grid Iron Club.

“I am honored to receive the Best of the West award, and attribute this success to my hardworking employees and supportive management team,” Fisher said. “I enjoy working with a team who is so passionate about their work and our community.”
