Canton Man Accused Of Having Child Sexual Abuse Material

CANTON, GA — A Canton man was arrested Tuesday after authorities say child sexual abuse material was found on his cell phone.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday the sheriff's office and Homeland Security Investigations' Sexual Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a Ridge Road home and found the material on the cell phone of Nabeel Kory Serrano, 35.

Authorities said Serrano was charged on suspicion of four counts of possession of child sexual abuse material. He is being held at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center without bond, authorities said.

"The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office (Internet Crimes Against Children) Unit has an investigator assigned to the H.S.I. Sexual Exploitation Unit, which works tirelessly to protect children from exploitation by predators involved in the production, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material," authorities said in a news release.
