Canton Man Fatally Shoots Relative, Then Wounds Self: Authorities
Authorities said a man was found dead in a Butterworth Road driveway after his relative was accused of fatally shooting him.
CANTON, GA — A man accused of shooting and killing his relative before turning the gun on himself late Tuesday morning is suffering life-threatening injuries, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies responded around 11:30 a.m. to Butterworth Road, where they say a man was found shot to death in a driveway. Authorities said the deputies began searching the property for a suspect, when they found a second man with a nearby gun.
Authorities said it appears the second man, identified as the suspect, shot his relative before turning the gun on himself. Authorities did not say how the two men were related.

The suspect was breathing and was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The names of both men were not released, and authorities said there were no additional suspects as of Tuesday afternoon.
