Canton Man Died Monday After Skydiving: Officials
A man from Canton died Monday in Florida while skydiving after he landed hard from trying to avoid hitting another skydiver, officials said.
CANTON, GA — A man from Canton died Monday after he had a crash landing after skydiving, reports say.
Christian Stevens, 49, of Canton, was pronounced dead Monday at a hospital in Florida, WSB-TV reported.
Stevens was skydiving in Sebastian, Florida, when he made a hard landing at Sebastian Municiapl Airport around 10 a.m., the station reported. Stevens was trying to avoid hitting another skydiver when the accident happened.

WSB-TV reported that police said Stevens "was a skydiving instructor who had 20 years of skydiving experience. Sebastian police and the FAA are still investigating."
