Canton Names Park Design Contest Winner

A young resident’s design has been named the winner in the city of Canton’s Your Park, Your Design challenge.

Andrew Jordan’s ideals will be incorporated into the city’s Heritage Park Master Plan, the city said Monday on its Facebook page.

“This young man is awesome,” the city added. “We will be inviting him to City Hall to meet everyone real soon. There were so many great designs submitted, (and) it was a close decision. Thank you to all of the children who submitted drawing(s).”

The contest, which was launched in March, encouraged children to draw up their park design to have their ideas consider for the master plan.
