Canton Teen Ejected From Vehicle in Accident

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle accident in which a 17-year-old boy was ejected from the vehicle he was driving.
Spokesperson Franka Young said around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, a 2006 Mazda 6 was traveling southbound on Interstate 575 in the left lane when the driver “lost control and struck a guardrail end.”

Young said the exact location of the accident was not listed in the initial report.
The vehicle overturned and the driver, Christopher K. Lam, 17, of Canton was ejected from the vehicle. Young added the teenager was not wearing his seatbelt.

Lam was transported to Northside Hospital-Cherokee to be treated for his injuries. Northside Hospital spokesperson Katherine Watson said the teen has been released from the hospital.
