Malware was detected on the computer systems at 51 locations in 24 states across the country, UPS said on Wednesday in a press release. The earliest evidence of the malware’s presence is Jan. 20, but UPS notes the period of exposure for most locations started after March 26. Customers who used credit or debit cards at the store around this time could have had their data compromised.

However, UPS said that as of August 11, the malware has been “eliminated,” and customers can now shop securely at their stores.
