CCSD Expands Grab N' Go Breakfast Program

The program allows students to pick up a full breakfast without walking through a cafeteria line.

CANTON, GA -- The Cherokee County School District’s School Nutrition program is providing a new breakfast option at select schools.

The Grab N’ Go breakfast program allows students to pick up a full breakfast as soon as they arrive at school without having to walk to the cafeteria and wait in a line there. Students receive an entrée, fruit and drink and head off to enjoy their breakfast without a wait.

The program, which is funded through grants that pay for the mobile breakfast carts, is offered at several elementary schools, with Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy starting its service this month. Clark Creek partnered with the nonprofit Atlanta Community Food Bank on the project.
