Chart Industries Reach Distribution Milestone

A Cherokee County business recently reached a milestone with its exclusive Japanese distributor Daiho Sangyo.

Chart Industries recently built and sold its 50,000th cryogenic liquid cylinder in the Japanese market, the company said in a press release.

Much of the initial technical and sales related groundwork was laid by Tom Carey, who now serves as president of Chart’s distribution and storage division.

Chart attributed the success to its mainline employees at its Cherokee facility “for their on-going efforts in building high quality products that have stood the test of time in the Japanese marketplace.”

Chart Industries is a global manufacturer of “standard and custom engineered products and systems for a wide variety of cryogenic and gas processing applications,” according to its website.

Its equipment is used in the production, storage and distribution of atmospheric and industrial gases as well as natural gas.
