Cherokee County Wants Your Input on Proposed East Park

The park, which has yet to be named, will be located in the Macedonia community near the Intersection of Highway 20 and Water Tank Road.

Cherokee County officials have scheduled two public input meetings for its proposed East Park.

The first meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 while the next will be held at the same time on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Both meetings will be held in the Macedonia Elementary School cafeteria.

The park, which has yet to be named, will be situated in the Macedonia community near the intersection of Highway 20 and Water Tank Road. Parks and recreation officials will be gathering input on the master plan and proposed facilities for the park.

The park is funded by the county’s $90 million parks bond, which was approved by voters in 2008.
