Cherokee Fire Offers Free Stop The Bleed Class
The class will be held Saturday, March 31 at the Cherokee County Fire Training Center in Holly Springs.

CANTON, GA — Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services will offer a Stop The Bleed class on Saturday, March 31 at its Fire Training Center in Holly Springs. The class will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Firefighter Sgt. Nate Sullivan will be the instructor for the class. The Stop the Bleed program trains, equips and empowers bystanders to stop life-threatening bleeding in an emergency situation (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. The county is holding its class as part of the National Stop The Bleed Day. The campaign was started in 2015 to "address the most common cause of preventable trauma death in the United States: uncontrolled bleeding," according to its website.
