Cherokee High Students Win Essay Contest

Each student was awarded a medal, a thesaurus and a cash prize.

From Cherokee HS: Three Cherokee High students were winners of the Canton Optimist Club’s Essay Contest. The students wrote on the topic of ““When All the World’s Problems are Solved, is Optimism Still Necessary?”

1st Place Nancy Garcia
2nd Place Ashley Pozos Romero
3rd Place Eric Dogini Jr.

Each student attended an Optimist Club breakfast and was awarded a Rotary Medal, a thesaurus and a cash prize. Nancy’s paper will now be submitted to the District Optimist Club Essay Competition. All students are seniors in Rebecca Coury and Shelley McNellie’s Advanced Composition class at Cherokee High School.
