Cherokee HS Student Awarded $1,000 Scholarship

From Cherokee County School District: Congratulations to Cherokee High School senior Sarah Snyder, winner of the college scholarship presented annually by Oak Leaf Church, a Cherokee County School District Partner, to a graduating senior!

One of CCSD’s major system priorities is increasing parental and community involvement through public engagement policies and practices that treat parents, businesses, community-based organizations and agencies, local institutions of higher learning and other public entities as true partners in the educational process.

As part of its CCSD Partnership Agreement, Oak Leaf Church annually awards one $1,000 college scholarship to a graduating senior from Cherokee High School. The Oak Leaf Church Scholarship Committee selected Sarah as this year’s recipient, and she recently was recognized at a Cherokee County School Board meeting.
