Cherokee Marshal's Office Gains National Accreditation
It's one of three in the United States awarded the designation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

CANTON, GA -- The Cherokee County Marshal's Office has received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
The designation was awarded July 30 at the organization's national conference held in Baltimore. The agency's quest to gain accreditation has been an ongoing process that kicked off 18 months ago, the office said.
To reach the milestone, the Marshal’s Office had to comply with 189 standards of performance and professionalism.
