Cherokee To Offer Therapeutic Recreation Programming Next Month
Cherokee Recreation and Parks will offer music therapy, adaptive archery, an inclusive STEM LEGO class and Water Warriors in September.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — The Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency is offering new programs this fall.
On Wednesdays, the department will hold music therapy at 5 p.m. and Adaptive Archery at 6:30 p.m. On Thursdays, it will be offering an inclusive STEM LEGO class at 5:30 p.m.
Music Therapy
Date: Sept. 4-Oct. 9
Time: Wednesdays, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Location: Recreation Center
Cost: $110

Archery
Date: Sept. 4-Oct. 9
Time: Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15 p.m.
Location: Recreation Center
Cost: $60
Age: 13 and up
LEGO
Date: Sept. 5-Oct. 10
Time: Thursdays, 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Location: Recreation Center
Cost: $140
Age: 6-12

Water Warriors will continue on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. at the Cherokee Aquatic Center. This program provides an opportunity for exercise and socialization in a warm water environment

Additionally, Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency is hiring for part-time positions to help work its break camps and special events throughout the year. CRPA is looking for counselors to work with the general population 5 – 12 years old for break camps, and helping to assist with all community events through the fall and holiday seasons.
