Cherokee Sheriff's Deputy Arrested, Charged With DUI
BREAKING: Johnathan Nuzzo, 42, an eight-year veteran of the agency, is on paid administrative leave, pending an internal investigation.

BALL GROUND, GA -- A deputy with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office was arrested Friday for allegedly driving under the influence.
The sheriff's office said Johnathan Nuzzo, 42, of Nelson was arrested June 30 and charged by the Ball Ground Police Department with one count of DUI.
Nuzzo, who has been with the agency for eight years, was not on duty at the time of his arrest, said spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley.

Nuzzo was released Friday afternoon from the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on a $1,318 bond and is currently on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation, Sgt. Kelley said.
