Crews with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the wreck just before 4 p.m. July 14 on Ball Ground Highway near its intersection with Fate Conn Road.
Initial reports, which stated children were in one of the vehicles, indicated a Ford Fusion collided with a Jeep, said Cherokee fire spokesperson Tim Cavender.

The driver of the Fusion, a 54-year-old woman, was transported by ambulance to WellStar Kennestone Hospital to be treated for a possible broken left hand. Cavender added the driver’s two nephews, ages 4 and 6, ”were checked out on scene and did not appear to have any injuries.”
The driver of the Jeep “had very minor injuries,” and was released on the scene, Cavender stated.
The accident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol. Return to Patch for updates.
