Creekland Middle School student teacher Derek Tobin has been selected as Kennesaw State University’s Outstanding Student Teacher for Middle Grades for spring 2015.

Award winners must be nominated by their collaborating teacher, and the winner is selected by a committee of KSU faculty from the Bagwell College of Education.

Tobin has been hired by the Cherokee County school District to teach eighth grade science and physical science (a high school credit course) for 2015-16 at Creekland.
