Creekview Students Are Finalists in 'Stop The Drop' Video Contest

Online votes are needed to help the students win Georgia Public Broadcasting's contest that focuses on preventing high school dropouts.

Creekview High School students have been named finalists in a Georgia Public Broadcasting statewide video contest, and online votes are needed to help them win.

The team of Nik Daniels, Nick Turano, and Drew Young is one of 10 finalists in the 2014 Stop The Drop Video Contest.

The contest focuses on preventing high school dropouts. Students were invited to create a 30-second public service announcement video focusing on how to improve the State’s graduation rate.

Winners will be selected based on the number of “likes” their video receives on YouTube through Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014. The students’ video can be viewed on YouTube or below.

Winners will be announced on Dec. 13.

The first-place video will be aired in the broadcast of the 2014 GHSA High School Football Championships, and the winner will receive $2,500, plus any other prizes donated before the end date. The second-place video also will be aired in the broadcast, and the winner will receive $500, plus any other prizes donated before the end date.
