Death Of Missing Cherokee Woman Ruled Accidental Drowning: Report

The body of Laura Ann Linden was pulled from a Cherokee County lake on Feb. 15.

LAKE ARROWHEAD, GA — The cause of death for a 65-year-old Cherokee County woman whose body was found in a lake earlier in the month was determined to be accidental drowning, Channel 2 Action News reported Tuesday.

Laura Ann Linden went missing from her Lake Arrowhead home Feb. 11 and authorities found her body in the lake days later.

The Lake Arrowhead resident was supposed to be attending a party but authorities said she never arrived to the party.

Deputies were called to the area near Peninsula Way on Feb. 14 after it was reported there was a car possibly in Lake Arrowhead, authorities previously said. Deputies did not find a car but located evidence near the water's edge that indicated a car had possibly entered the lake, authorities previously said.

They returned to the area the morning of Feb. 15 with the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Dive Team and discovered the car in the lake, authorities said

No foul play was suspected in Linden's death, authorities previously said.
