District Attorney Endorses Todd Hayes For Solicitor General
Shannon Wallace is backing Todd Hayes in his bid to become Cherokee County's next solicitor general.

CANTON, GA — A candidate running to become Cherokee's next solicitor general has received an endorsement from District Attorney Shannon Wallace. Todd Hayes said Wallace, who serves the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, is throwing her support behind his bid to succeed retiring Solicitor General Jessica Moss.
“Cherokee County deserves a solicitor general we can trust to effectively prosecute those who break the law, and Todd Hayes is exactly what we need," Wallace said in a statement provided by the Hayes campaign.
Hayes noted Wallace's support is "humbling," as she has a track record of service to the county and has provided "unparalleled leadership since becoming our chief prosecuting officer."

Hayes last seek also announced he was endorsed by Cobb County Solicitor General Barry Morgan. A career prosecutor with 15 years of experience, Hayes has served as the Office of Solicitor General's designated contact person with the District Attorney’s Office since becoming chief assistant solicitor general in the office.
His efforts led to the implementation of a streamlined process for transferring cases between the two agencies when necessary. Maintaining the professional, cooperative relationship between the offices that he has worked to achieve is an initiative Hayes said he will continue if he's elected.
"Todd is a true expert in the area of traffic crimes, and I have personally relied on his expertise in this area of the law over the years," said Wallace, who is in her second four-year term as district attorney.
Hayes will face off against Sarah Hobson in the race to become the next Cherokee County solicitor general on Tuesday, May 22. Early voting for the primary is now underway, and details how when and where you can cast ballots can be found here.
