Doctor Joins Northside Hospital Sports Medicine In Cherokee

CANTON/WOODSTOCK, GA — Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute Sports Medicine is pleased to welcome Dr. Joel Pranckun to its Canton and Woodstock locations.

Pranckun is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine. His particular areas of interest include adult and pediatric sports medicine, cartilage preservation and restoration and minimally-invasive surgery for the shoulder, hip, and knee and he has presented on these topics at a number of conferences and other forums.

Pranckun enjoys working with athletes and helping them optimize their bodies to achieve their maximum potential. He provides each of his patients with individualized care based on their unique needs and goals and he strives to make his patients feel comfortable during their visit.

“Every patient is different and unique; you truly never know what you will see each day,” Pranckun said. “I consider patient education to be an important factor in improving health outcomes. I try to be very interactive throughout each visit, using videos, models and more to explain complex conditions to my patients in an easy-to-understand manner.”
