Driver Killed In Rollover Crash On I-575 In Cherokee County
The accident was reported around 5 a.m. Friday, July 14 in the Ball Ground area.
BALL GROUND, GA — A northwest Georgia man died early Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 575 in Cherokee County.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's office were dispatched to the scene around 5:01 a.m. July 14 on the northbound side of the interstate just south of the Marion Spence Road overpass. They arrived to find a Nissan Xterra had rolled over and struck a guard rail, said sheriff's office spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Jackson Wilhelm of Chatsworth, was not wearing a seat belt and had been ejected from the vehicle, Kelley added. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident, and the sheriff's office's Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
