Dumpster Days Return April 7 In Canton
The monthly event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in front of Canton City Hall.

CANTON, GA — The monthly campaign to help clean up Canton will return to the downtown area this weekend. The city of Canton will host this month's installment of Dumpster Days on Saturday, April 7 in front of City Hall.
The popular event allows any city resident to dispose of trash and other unwanted items, up to 10 tires per person and recycle many electronics free of charge. Residents can stop by City Hall at 151 Elizabeth Street from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the event.
Dumpster Days are for city residents only, and you must bring proof of residency when dropping off items.

Items accepted on Dumpster Days include:

- Computers laptops
- Gaming systems (PS2, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
- VCR/DVD players
- Stereo equipment
- Vacuum cleaners
- Microwave/toasters/toaster ovens
- Hair dryers/curling irons
- Tools
- wires and cables (all types)
- Phones (cellphones & home phone systems)
- Printers/fax machines
- Washers/dryers, dishwashers and other home appliances (excluding refrigerators)
- Sofas and mattresses
- Dry paint
Items not accepted:
- CRT TV or monitor (Old style tube TV's or computer monitor)
- Refrigerators
- Fuel tanks
- Motor oil
- Fuel drums
- Household hazardous waste
- Antifreeze
- Wet paint
- Paint thinners
- Pesticides
- Pool chemicals
- Commercial waste
