Early Voting Starts Monday in Canton

Cherokee County voters will have two weeks to cast ballots ahead of the May 24 primary.

CANTON, GA -- Monday, May 2 will kick off early voting in Canton and Cherokee County for the May 24 primary election.

Registered voters will be able to cast their ballots from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, May 2-6 and May 9-13 at the Cherokee County Elections & Registration Office in downtown Canton.

For those who can't squeeze in time to vote early during the week, you will have a chance to vote from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at the elections office as well as the Ball Ground, Hickory Flat, Rose Creek and Woodstock public libraries.

Advance voting will continue at those aforementioned sites from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 16-20.

Polls will open throughout Cherokee County on Election Day -- May 24 -- from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can visit the Georgia My Voter Page for information on your voting precinct as well as your voter registration status.

Voters in the county will decide on several key local, state and national races, including the race for State Court judge, Superior Court judge, sheriff, Districts 2 and 3 county commissioner, tax commissioner, State Senate District 21, State House District 21, school board chair, clerk of courts and U.S. representative for Georgia's 11th Congressional District.
