Easter Eggstravaganza Set For April 8 in Canton
The 31st annual event will be the last egg hunt hosted at the current Northside Hospital Cherokee facility.

CANTON, GA -- The Northside Hospital Cherokee Annual Easter Eggstravaganza is inviting the community to a fun celebration for the whole family.
The 31st annual event takes place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8 on the hospital grounds at 201 Hospital Road in Canton.
“This will mark the end of an era for this hospital, as this will be the last Eggstravaganza at the current Northside Hospital Cherokee location,” said Patricia Daniel, special events and fund raising coordinator, Northside Hospital Foundation.

The new Northside Hospital Cherokee will open to the public May 6 at 450 Northside Cherokee Boulevard. This year’s event includes exciting activities and fun for all ages such as a petting zoo, moon walks, carnival games, face painters, puppet shows, arts & crafts, food and music.
Children are invited to bring a basket and join organizers for one of four egg hunts:

- 1:30 p.m. – for children age 0 to 3 years old, or for those who have special needs and require assistance;
- 1:45 p.m. – for children ages 4 to 6;
- 2 p.m. – for children ages 7 to 9; and
- 2:15 p.m. – for children ages 10 years and up.
Admission to the Easter Eggstravaganza, food and activities are free. However, photos with the Easter Bunny are $5 for two photos and souvenir T-shirts are $10 each. All proceeds benefit the Special Care Nursery at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Guests also are encouraged to bring donations of large size diapers, wipes and baby food donations for MUST Ministries in Cherokee County. No glass bottles or jars. Collection bins will be available at the event.
In case of inclement weather on Saturday, April 8, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday, April 9. In case of inclement weather on April 9, the event will be canceled.
