Electronics Recycling Event Set For Saturday In Canton
Items accepted at no charge include personal computers, fax machines, cell phones, stereos/VCR/CD players and more.
CANTON, GA — The Cherokee County Recycling Center in partnership with Premier Surplus, Inc. is hosting an electronics recycling event 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the County Administration Building, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton.
Items accepted at no charge include:
- personal computers
- laptops
- modems
- floppy/disk drives
- printers
- UPS batteries
- CD-ROMS
- fax machines
- cell phones
- circuit boards
- copiers
- phones
- PC power supplies
- stereos/VCR/CD players
- scanners
- keyboards
- typewriters
- toner cartridges
- mouse/mice
- text equipment
- wire/cabling
- PC monitors
- networking equipment
Televisions are accepted for a $20 fee. CRT monitors are $5 each, and large projection TVs are $40.

Items not accepted are wooden cabinet TV sets, gas-powered equipment, tires, household/alkaline batteries, household trash and appliances.
This is a drive-thru event. People should remain in their car, and volunteers will take all equipment from the vehicle. Remove any equipment from boxes and cables from each device. All cables may be placed in a bag for drop off that day.
