Fall Brings New Opportunities to Explore OLLI
The OLLI Sampler, beginning on Monday, Oct. 1, will give residents in the community an opportunity to explore OLLI

From art and computers to history and languages, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education offers an array of courses for a variety of intellectual tastes. The OLLI Sampler, beginning on Monday, Oct. 1, will give residents in the community an opportunity to explore OLLI. Each week, two instructors will showcase a “taste” of their courses ranging from history and genealogy to creative writing and tai chi/qigong. A combination of 15 courses will be introduced throughout the month of October.
The OLLI Sampler concludes with free admission to the OLLI Social, a quarterly event filled with food, fun and entertainment exclusively for OLLI students. This year the social, held on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m., will have a “Roaring 20s” theme.
“The Sampler is a great way to meet new instructors and learn more about new courses that are being offered as well as hear more about some of our favorite long-running courses,” Pat Walker, OLLI program manager, said. “We hope students broaden their interests, hone their talents and cultivate new experiences and friendships along the way.”
