Father Wins $12,500 Prize From Georgia Lottery

Mark Slaker won a $12,500 prize from being selected as a grand prize winner in the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again Reloaded Second Chance Promotion.

Slaker said he believes everything is falling into place, especially after his lottery win.

“It feels great,” he exclaimed.

Slaker and wife, Denise, plan to take their two daughters, ages 10 and 11, to dinner and a movie.

As a monthly cash prize winner in the Georgia Lottery’s Play It Again Reloaded Second Chance Promotion, Slaker had an opportunity to spin a wheel to win cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $1 million.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $16.2 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.

More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
