This afternoon, the  posted PDFs of all the candidates who have qualifed for the July 31 general primary election online.

Open the attached document under the picture of the elections office to find out who will be on the ballot.

Here are some of the people who qualified today and issued press releases:

Brian Poole, Republican candidate for Cherokee Board of Commissioners, Post 3

Brian Poole today qualified as a Republican Candidate for Cherokee County Commissioner Post 3. Brian began his campaign several months ago on a platform of transparency, fiscal responsibility and stronger business recruitment and business growth. The Poole campaign has received a strong reception from voters across the district as the campaign begins to pick up momentum.

“This is a truly humbling experience to hear the needs and ideas of so many great people in Cherokee County,” Poole said. “As our next commissioner, I will be sure to tap into the energy and ideas I have been so fortunate to have been met with so far in the campaign.

“Cherokee County is on the verge of a strong rebound but the next commission has to be smarter about debt and spending. We need to prioritize economic development and maximize the impact of the two opportunity zones in  Cherokee County.”

Brian has been in the funeral industry for over 20 years and is currently the manager of the Woodstock Funeral Home in Downtown Woodstock.

“Having worked in the funeral industry and managed funeral homes I understand how to listen to the concerns of families and how to run a business and manage a budget,” Poole said.

Brian and his wife Amy are the proud parents of two daughter, Olivia, 5, and Ava, 20 months. The Pooles are members of First Baptist of Woodstock. Brian earned his associates degree in funeral services from Gupton Jones College in Decatur, Georgia.
