Fire Destroys Mobile Home in Cherokee County
The homeowner said he went to the doctor and returned to find his home on fire.
BALL GROUND, GA -- A double-wide mobile home was destroyed Tuesday afternoon in a fire in northern Cherokee County.
Crews with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the fire at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 400 block of North Sharp Mountain Church Lane in Ball Ground.
First responders arrived on the scene to find the residence fully involved, said Field Operations Chief Greg Erdely.

The homeowner, a 73-year-old man who has lived on the property for more than 30 years, told authorities he went to the doctor and "returned to find his home on fire," the agency said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
