Fire Services Committee To Meet on Northwest Fire Station Proposal
The city of Canton's committee will meet at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 at City Hall.

Canton City Council’s Fire Services Committee on Wednesday will meet to continue discussing a proposal from Cherokee County to jointly operate the northwest fire station.
The meeting starts at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 at Canton City Hall.
The Canton City Council last month voted to continue talks with Cherokee County on the proposal, which would include Canton building the station and Cherokee County staffing and operating the facility slated to open in the Laurel Canyon subdivision.

Canton leaders could vote to formally adopt the agreement at the Council’s Jan. 22 meeting.
