Flames At Canton Apartment Complex Garage Cause Damage

CANTON, GA — There were no injuries in an early Friday morning fire at River Ridge Apartments, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services said.

The fire occurred around 3:30 a.m. at a detached multiunit parking garage in the River Ridge Drive complex. When crews arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from the garage, fire officials said.

They then began searching the garage for victims, fire officials said. The cause of the fire was not released.

Fire officials said no injuries were reported, and no one was displaced due to the fire. The extent of the damage is unknown.
